Aligning young professionals with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
2015 - partnership strategy, advocacy, fundraising, project management
Launched in September 2015 during the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in New York, Unicef contributed to the new Sustainble Development Goals (SDGs) by making the end of violence against children a global priority for the first time. The SDGs is a 17-point blueprint, drafted by the United Nations General Assembly, for socioeconomic development on issues relating to poverty, climate change, education, health, employment, energy and urban development.
I developed a partnership strategy with Unicef’s Head of Emergencies, Public fundraising management and the NEXTGen London committee, a network of young professionals, in aligning their fundraising and advocacy initiatives with the launch of the SDGs.
